Storage of personal items, whether it be
computer discs or grandma's oak table, has become a major
concern for most Americans. With the phenomenal growth of
personal possessions it is difficult to find storage space
for all of one's goods. There is, in fact, an entire
industry devoted to renting places simply to store your
"stuff."
Garages, attics and basements have been the traditional
storage sites for most people. However, with such newly
acquired "necessities" as lawn mowers, snow blowers,
mountain bikes, golf clubs, weed eaters, barbecue grills,
patio furniture, artificial Christmas trees, home gym
equipment, and second, third, or even fourth vehicles those
locations are no longer empty or adequate. Many of our homes
and garages simply are no longer large enough to store our
massive pile of material goods, particularly those who have
inherited Mom and Dad's "treasures" as well.
If you want more storage space in your garage, think
vertical. Sturdy shelving can be found at home improvement
stores at affordable prices, and ceiling hooks are excellent
methods to suspend bicycles, ladders, or skis out of the
way. Do some research online to find storage systems that
will fit your needs and your budget.
